The latest Census data has confirmed what we already knew - Our Community has grown and it will keep growing. The 2000 Census revels that Hispanics have nearly doubled in Rhode Island. We are happy about the growth of our Community; however at the same time we are very concerned because for the last 10 years most of our Non-Profit Agencies that serve our Latino/Hispanic Community have been receiving the same amount of funding from State and Federal entities. We need an immediate assessment of how the State allocates money for Latino/Hispanic programs!
